DIY Pom-Pom Flats

on January 24, 2012

I absolutely LOVE pom-poms! And what better way to jazz up a pair of plain flats than to add a pom-pom to them! So I took a pair of royal blue flats that I’ve had for a while (please excuse their ratty condition) and made some pom-poms out of yarn and hot glued them onto the toe. Voila! Instant shoe makeover! 🙂

To make the pom-poms, wrap yarn around 3 fingers about 75-100 times. then slowly slide the yarn off your fingers and tie in the middle. then cut the loops and snip and trim until you have your perfect pom-pom!

Please excuse the horrible quality of my photos and the not-so-pretty background. It was late and all I wanted to do was shower 😛

The Before - Just regular royal blue flats

The After - Pom-poms are glued on and ready to wear!
